  • Army helicopter pilot

I'm thinking of joining the army to be a helicopter pilot. I have two degrees neither with a good GPA some leadership experience that appears on transcripts and some work history. He says it will be unlikely that I get picked up straight out for "street 2 seat". Which I can understand I'm just wondering if they are throwing me a line when they make it sound super easy to get in after you've finished AIT. Does anyone hear know what kind of pick rate they have for enlisted trying for Helios? I would be going in E-4 and they make it sound like I can turn in my packet as soon as I leave AIT and as often as I need to. I know the job of a recruiter is hard I just want to make sure they're telling me the whole truth. Thanks in advance!

Are you trying to go Warrant Officer? This may be what they are referring to when they say you have to be in for a while. Most pilots are WO's. (If I recall correctly)
